cranberry tuna salad

I love the cranberry tuna salad from Whole Foods. But I cannot stand canned tuna.

So making my own required starting with this:

I broiled the tuna steaks for 8 minutes per side. I let them cool and then shredded them with forks, like barbecue.

While the tuna was cooling, I zested a lemon

And then juiced it.

I put the tuna into a big bowl and added about a cup of chopped cranberries.

I’m also not a fan of mayo, but it’s necessary. I added about 3/4 cup of mayo. And then salt and pepper.

Tah-dah! Easy. Summery. Fresh. I’m so excited to have this for lunch tomorrow!

Yeah! I am so excited to see this recipe. Did you buy your tuna fresh or frozen?
